Christopher Gaspar, known as Gaspar Fuego (and formerly Cold Blank), is a Los Angeles–based house/EDM producer, songwriter, singer, rapper, and DJ. With early beginnings in the underground party scene in Los Angeles, Gaspar began throwing events and pop-up parties that helped pave the way for the explosion of EDM as early as 2007.
Gaspar’s production duo “Cold Blank” saw early success with several singles that climbed to the top of Beatport charts, including “Los Angeles” which also received radio airplay on 102.7 KIIS FM. Cold Blank officially remixed top caliber artists such as Steve Aoki (“Phat Brahms”), Zedd (“Autonomy”), DJ Chuckie (“What Happens In Vegas”), and Cypress X Rusko (“Can’t Keep Me Down ft. Damien Marley”). Gaspar toured domestically throughout the United States as well as international dates in South Korea, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico between 2009 and 2014. Gaspar has had the privilege of performing with Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Porter Robinson, Wiz Khalifa, Timmy Trumpet, Chris Lake, Deorro, Wolfgang Gartner, and many more. Parting ways with former collaborator Manuel Luquin in late 2013, the project began an indefinite hiatus.
In 2021, Gaspar embarked on a new solo chapter in his music career, production project “Gaspar Fuego”. This unapologetic project infuses a touch of Gaspar’s Latinx lifestyle and cultural roots, infusing disco, house, reggaeton, and hip hop. Partnering with Estefany Méndez from KPIX 5 (CBS) in July 2021, Gaspar contributed an original nu-disco pop song that was broadcast on live television. In early 2022, the segment was nominated for an Emmy Award. In June 2022, Gaspar won an Emmy Award as a music producer for his contribution to the segment, which is also his first release “Hey Lyla”. You can expect several upcoming releases including “Feel This Music”, which is now streaming on Soundcloud. Additionally, Gaspar has an upcoming collaborative release, “Let The Music Take Your Mind” with ETC!ETC! and Jeremiah Red.
